Research at the Institute of Anatomy is part of the modern life sciences and concerns various aspects of integrative human biology with a strong translational aspect to the clinics. The eight research groups share a common research infrastructure and cooperate actively in the context of several local Clinical and University Research Priority Programs (CRPPS and URPPs), Swiss National Science Foundation (SNF) programs and international research consortia. Moreover, there is a close interaction with the UZH Centre of Microscopy and Image Analysis (ZMB), which is located in the same building and offers excellent access to advanced microscopy techniques. Numerous invitations to national and international congresses as well as publications in high to top impact journals document the research activities and international visibility of the institute.
